I watch The Mo'Nique Show nightly on BET. On the nights I have class, I can only catch the last 10 or 15 minutes. I like the show for several reasons. First, Mo'nique has her guests talk about how they got started in the business. Then, she quickly asks the guests to talk about the business side of the entertainment industry. I love that part. The future entertainers need to realize the bad side of being famous, such as tabloids and financial disaster because of lack of knowledge on the part of the entertainer!
Second, Mo'Nique gives several examples to explain most things she says. It's a fact that Mo'Nique was a Queen of Comedy. She told her heart-felt story of the struggle. She also said, "I could not show scenes from The Queens of Comedy Tour because I do not own that...." Then she said, "We need to own our stuff...." It all comes back to education.
